Unit 42 Begins

Sixty six men arrive for UNIT 42 Basic Training.
Col Tanner delivers and encouraging speech built around the theme of “Hope.”
ALERT Instructors and their families briefly meet and encourage the men of Unit 42.

The recruits meet the Basic Training Cadre
They are assigned to squads. Each squad is made up of 7 or 8 men.
The squad leader introduces himself and explains protocol

Taking care of paperwork
Receiving a medical examination
Getting a picture taken
Learning regulations
The men also learn the rudiments of Drill and Ceremonies such as Standing At Attention and Facing Movements
