Unit 42 Week One
September 23rd, 2009
The first week of Basic Training for Unit 42 has been a foundational week in which they have been exposed to many of the skills they will need to use for the rest of basic training. There are also many firsts: their first PT, first inspection, first time ironing uniforms etc.

Building on the marching skills taught on R-Night the men have had more instruction in area and now march everywhere they go. Here Specialist Barr marches Charlie 2nd back from lunch.

The men have learned how to keep their barracks clean and in order. This is Bravo 1st’s squad room.

Wednesday the men were taught how to iron their BDU’s. Here Specialist Ludvigson gives instruction to Alpha Second.

The men have enjoyed many good meals. Every mealtime the Logistics team gathers to serve the food.

Yum!

The men have spent a lot of time in the ALERT Science Building where they gather for classes, devotionals, and the Basic Seminar. Recently the men enjoyed an etiquette class taught by Colonel and Mrs. Tanner.

The class included skits to demonstrate both good and bad manners.
