(PT Test)

Recruits took the ALERT Physical Fitness test this morning. Passing the test is a requirement to complete Basic Training.

The PT Test consists of three components: The 2-minute max pushup, the 2-minute max situp, and a timed two mile run.

(Morning Wakeup)

Early each morning, the recruits are woken up and bring the room up to inspection standards.

The first scheduled activity each morning is 45 minutes of “AM Watch”—time spent in God’s word and in prayer.

(Saturday Inspection)

The men of Unit 39 have lined for inspection every Saturday.

The cadre inspects both uniforms and rooms; the standard is perfection.

This Saturday, the recruits met the standard and passed for the first time. Few units pass this early in Basic.

The traditional reward for passing is a party complete with a cookout, ultimate frisbee and ice cream.
