International ALERT Academy (IAA)

The International ALERT Academy (IAA) is a unique Christian training and service organization. IAA encompasses several programs from its base in East Texas, including ALERT, ALERT Cadet, STEP, and Quest, along with our many camps and conferences. Our goal is “Preparing Generations to be Followers of Christ,” and we seek to equip individuals with tools to better prepare them for the specific callings God has placed on each of their lives.  2012 STEP Program

Skills Training for Emergency Preparedness (STEP), an outdoor adventure program for young ladies ages 15 and older, is designed to build confidence on individual and team levels, while preparing young ladies to respond to life’s emergencies, as they learn to put their trust in the Lord. STEP will enrich each young lady in personal spiritual disciplines, physical fitness, and emergency skills.

2012 Quest Program

Quest exists to help young men as they strive for responsible, Biblical manliness. We seek to cast a vision for manhood and answer the questions guys have about the transition from child to man. Through one-on-one discipleship and group classes, we help young men overcome the struggles holding them back from maturity and teach the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in life. Our goal is to be a useful tool for parents seeking to encourage their sons to strive after manly maturity.

Our first team of 14 men returned from Haiti March 8 after  serving three weeks with the <a href=”http://www.friendships.org/” target=”_blank”>Friend Ships</a> ministry.   Few ALERT teams have had the variety of ministry in  serving that these men did over the course of their three weeks of service.
