Mother Daughter Retreat Weekend
The International ALERT Academy is delighted to invite mothers and daughters of all ages to an exciting retreat weekend geared specifically toward them! Ladies will be inspired through meaningful sessions, encouraged through fellowship times, and challenged during creative learning times.
2012 Cultivating Gratefulness
There are no accidents with seeds, you plant zinnias, you get zinnias, plant green beans and you harvest green beans. There are no accidents with what we plant in our spiritual lives either. Harvests of gratefulness, righteousness and love don’t pop up by surprise they are carefully planted, watered, weeded and fertilized until they grow into maturity.
Join us for a weekend of refreshment as we plant and nurture seeds of gratefulness.
We are excited to announce that our speakers for 2012 will be Jenna Dee (Mom), Taryn, and Mirren Martin(Daughters). The Martins have spoken at homeschool events across Texas and we are looking forward to their perspective on Mother Daughter relationships and gratefulness.

2011 Report!
This year, we welcomed Andrea Chevalier from Houston, Texas as our retreat speaker! Fun. Vibrant. Dynamic. Real. Moving. These are just a few of the words used to describe Andrea. It was a delight to have her and her daughter here for the whole weekend as she shared about walking with the Lord and the beautiful personalities that He has placed within us.
Moms and daughters of all ages enjoyed a photo scavenger hunt that had them scrambling all over campus to find the best spot for a picture. Friday included a lineup of all new workshops including jewelry making, painting and a class on getting the best deals at the grocery store ever.
We are still hearing about what the Lord did in the lives of the ladies who attended the retreat.
One mom wrote “Thank you and all the staff for putting together a fantastic retreat. Everything was perfect. The message this morning was especially poignant for us. And I shared the vision of magnifying God with my husband and my dad. Thank you again. We look forward to the next retreat!” Check out some more pictures here!
Schedule
The Mother Daughter Retreat Weekend schedule includes times for teaching sessions, physical activity, and creative workshops. Increase physical dexterity as you challenge the elements of the Low Ropes Course, take a canoe out on the lake, and hike nature trails around campus. Are you interested in learning a new skill? Every year we feature fun new classes and workshops. Featured opportunities during past retreats have been quilting, jewelry making, card making, couponing, art and much more.
