Dear Family Camper
It is our goal to encourage our campers to be a blessing to each other. In light of this, we would like to request that Camp attendees show honor to one other in regard to how they dress.
We request that women of all ages wear skirts, capris or loose fitting pants for all activities and refrain from wearing shorts or sleeveless shirts of any kind. Dress for Camp Meetings and in the Dining Hall should be skirts or dresses with a skirt that falls below the knee when seated.
Men and boys are required to wear shirts with sleeves. Shirts should be an adequate length to cover the waistband of pants. Pants should reach the knee. Long pants and shirts with collars should be worn to all meetings.
In private, dress is up to your own family’s discretion. Note: private is considered inside your tent, cabin or room. Taking a trip to the bathhouse or down the hall in the dorm is considered a public area and the above guidelines should be followed.
Please consider that the activity attendants and spectators at some events may view you at compromising angles as you participate in the activity. We have instructed our attendants and staff, at all events, to uphold the moral standards that have been put forth by the Lord and our authorities. Therefore, we reserve the right to deny participation in any activity where a participant’s attire may put themselves or the attendant in a compromising situation.
We realize that families may differ in their definition of modesty and our goal is not to be legalistic in its application. Rather, our desire is to keep Family Camp as pure and non-confrontational as possible for all in attendance. We greatly appreciate your cooperation.
