The Air Land Emergency Resource Team (ALERT) is a unique training and service organization for young men who desire to achieve maturity and fruitfulness in service as Christian men. The training young men receive at ALERT equips them with the discipline, character, and skills necessary to meet the needs of people in crisis. These ALERT Responders will then be deployed to disaster-stricken areas such as those affected by hurricanes, tornados, floods, and mud slides.
ALERT Cadet was founded in 1996 as outgrowth of the ALERT program, with the vision to raise up godly young men who would be “Strong to Overcome” the evil one, from 1 John 2:13, and mighty in spirit. We desire to turn the hearts of the fathers to the sons and the hearts of sons to their fathers (Malachi 4:6). The ALERT Cadet program is a tool which a wise father can use to assist him in raising up Godly sons.
Combining hands-on skill training with live classroom workshops, Quest seeks to instill the sense of responsibility and focus necessary to be a man. An emphasis on spiritual disciplines and a dedicated leadership team creates an environment conducive to spiritual growth. Scripture memorization, journaling, regular times of Bible study, and prayer are required.
Skills Training for Emergency Preparedness (STEP), an outdoor adventure program for young ladies ages 15 and older, is designed to build confidence on individual and team levels, while preparing young ladies to respond to life’s emergencies, as they learn to put their trust in the Lord.
