Choosing

Christlike Manhood

A Vision

The pursuit of Biblical manhood requires deliberate action. In Quest, we begin preparing young men to one day raise their own families, by teaching them about six “Pillars of Manhood” – callings that God has given every Christian father:

  • Priest – Taking initiative as the spiritual leader of his home
  • Partner – Faithfully loving his wife
  • Parent – Instructing and correcting his children
  • Provider – Meeting the needs of those under his care
  • Protector – Defending his family, church and community from harm
  • Servant-Leader – Putting others’ needs before his own

Practical Life Skills

We believe that every young man should be capable and confident when it comes to daily life. Quest students learn all kinds of essential skills, through personal instruction and hands-on experience alongside mature Christian men.

  • Basic First Aid and CPR
  • Basic Plumbing & Electrical
  • Basic Auto Maintenance & Automotive Emergencies
  • Personal Finance
  • Flatwater canoeing
  • Physical Fitness (hiking, daily PT, Ultimate)

Disciplines for Success

The most important aspect of maturity is a young man’s walk with God, and Quest focuses on developing good habits for lifelong spiritual growth.

  • Daily devotions
  • Journaling
  • Scripture memory
  • Character training in:
    • Responsibility
    • Time management
    • Orderliness
    • Humility and more!
